Is zodiacal light observable from our climes/latitudes?

I didn't think so... but far from means that I am correct?

any definites anybody?

Having a quick trawl on the net it's a triangular shape best seen just before dawn in the east at Autumn time. It is brighter in the tropics but is visible in the UK. Here's a link to somebody who imaged it in Wiltshire.

Ten ot of ten for observation Pete. Although it's already been posted as a normal panorama now you can view the picture in a first person perspective which took Themos a lot of effort. I already had plenty of comments on the original but it would be nice if people acknowledged his hard work as you have done.

I've seen the Zodiacal Light from my garden in Selsey. Last year I popped down to the beach to photograph it. You can just about see it extending out through Leo and into Cancer in this shot. The orange muck is Bognor Regis.

Pete do you think I have caught it to the left of Orion and near to Venus? There is a triangular light patch extending quite high

Hi Kevin,

It's quite a tough call. It would help to know what's over in that direction geographically. Personally, I think it probably is as it appears to be angled along the ecliptic plane. However, it is quite subtle which makes it hard to be 100% certain.
