Here's another go at a red nebula in and around Cygnus. The cocoon fits quite nicely in the DSLR FOV so is a good sized image to have a go at. The data was collected over two less than perfect sessions but with the weather being what it is lately, beggars can't be choosers! Last nights data had to be collected through a thin layer of high cloud which made things interesting. IC 5146 is 4000 lightyears away, the star in the middle is quite young. It look like there's a fair bit of emission going on with little patches of reflection, especially around one of the stars to the right of the nebula. B168 is the dark nebula around that makes a tail.
