Jupiter RGB 30th June (very early in the morning!!)

Hello,

Well like a berk i stayed up last night as i was DESPERATE to get a bash at my favorite object in the entire night sky!!! Wider field and cropped image included.

So here we have Jupiter LX200 10" @ f10 (tried f20 but couldn`t achieve proper focus)and my now working DMK (long story!!!). Approx 600 frames in each colour combined. Captured via IC Capture, stacked in Registax V4. Post processing in PS CS3.

I saw Pete Lawrence's C14 images, and the NEB was in turmoil alright. The DMK is a great camera for lunar and planetary imaging.

Top shots Alan - my (limited:D) experiences compute most difficulties with sharp focussing on the lappy at longer f/l's as a seeing indicator, so taking that into account REALLY good shots....!
