Congratulations David that is always my dream scope but not sure what is the minimum size mount for something as heavy and expensive as that beaut!! If you ever get a chance later on could you post a picture of both your Taks to show the physical differences

Great comparison photos!! The 120 doesn’t look to be much bigger /longer but probably a bit heavier than my Vixen FL102S. I definitely have something else to think about now

It’s pretty svelte - 6.7kg OTA  - but still requires a fairly robust mount. I mostly use a Skytee II, on a Gitzo 5-series tripod.

Yes, the TSA120 Weighs the same as the Mewlon 180.

The Mewlon 180 works well on a Vixen GP, the TSA definitely does not - even using a Berlebach UNI tripod.

So the TSA is now on a Vixen GPDX/Berlebach combo which worked well on first light earlier this week 🙂

They belong to a Takhead, cannot remember his name though 🙂
