Just goes to show dont need expensive refractors to get great detail in white light of sunspots. visual  chinese Baader filter. Baader 495 longpass IR UV CUT EQ5 PRO Celestron Omni barlow screwed into the camera. for around 1.5x. A bit oversampled but not hurting the images in the slightest.

Need to get a continuum filter i think.

Quick process

Being imaging ignorant Neil, what camera are you using?
And are you able to get a full disk image or is this mosaic time?

Nice detail captured, thanks for the share.

Hi Alan its a ZWO 178mm i got from Flo. Fairly large chip. But not the largest. At 1200mm focal length native. Yes its mosaic time. It takes about 8 sections to cover the sun with the Bresser and this camera. Not ideal. But for close ups its quite good. As quite a lot of closeup detail can be got at F9.5

Just mentioning this to @Rustang because of our our recent discussion.

Bresser frac and Baader solar film, and excellent results achieved.

Yes i think imaging film may be better. But i couldnt get that yet. So just using what i can at the moment Vlaiv.

But the Bresser clearly works well with this.

Cheers
