Thanks Jeremy, I think I like the slightly tweaked images in ImPPG. I'll probably use those new settings. I seem to get a more pleasing outcome when I introduce false colour.

Very nice! I like some colour, mono can be nice and dramatic and clean but colour seems to increase the depth. I know some folks prefer mono.

I'm always amazed when you see very old photos converted to colour in the press, it really brings them to life for me.

Thanks Luke, I must say that the close up of the plage and spots bring out how it seemed to sparkle when I saw it on the laptop screen when acquiring the data. Seemed very much alive in real time.

Awwwww, thanks Mark. I did manage to capture the essence of the plage and spot.

That first picture is wicked,  the second one is a little off with contrast but still good.  

 

Alot of people have adopted the "stretch the histogram" .   I never could get a usable image with  that method.

Amazing images! I like the more natural looking colour in the first image but in the second the darker tones bring out the detail more. Great job.
