looking at that behemoth, i fail to comprehend how they kept it from flexing, that party looks like it is way out of control.

I'm sure they were aware of that problem, and probably had a SRS geared to the Dec system.

(SRS = Sag Reduction System)

Good point actually, the setting circles are as impressive as the rest of the scope.

I heard things are not looking so good for the Yerkes 40" scope and it may be mothballed.
