Dynamic Solar Activity 5th July 2020

Hi all, quite a lot of solar magnetic activity today with several features. Lunt 60mm DS, Zwo Asi 178mm. Autostakker3, ImPPG and Photoshop CS2. Struggled with the wind and processing so this is the best I can get today.

Very nice Nigella.

The detail of the flares etc. around the limb is very good in the b&w.

More excellent images Nigella! I missed that superb lift off prom when I was observing earlier, though the seeing here in London is as bad as I’ve ever experienced, so gave up for the day

Space weather said there is a tiny spot in the new active region - just visible in ha, belongs to old Cycle 24.

Thanks, I only just managed to image this with the wind and fast moving cloud. Yeah, it was a lovely lift of prom and some amazing magnetic activity too.

Lovely images.  Just gearing up to try some solar imaging myself so great to see what's on view!
