This was taken last week on the 3rd March , the skies were supposed to be clear , but there was high cloud and the moon was bright , so my original target was abandoned .

I managed 4 hours on this image .

12 x 600 Lum 

6 x  600 Red

6 x 600 Blue 

Syn Green  

Taken with my TS 65 Quad and QSI camera 

not sure which version I like the best .. ?

I like both, try one in-between the two colour wise.

I like the variation in colour in image nr 2, but some of the galaxies and stars are too red imo.

Yes I agree .. I will have to adjust a little when I’m home later in the week ..

For me 'one' is far better but the idea behind 'two' was sound. I'd go for about 80% 'one' and 20% 'two.'

Played around with the selective colour levels a bit , and i like this one . hope you do too .

A lovely image Brian but I have to say I prefer the top image, for me the other is over saturated, which is of course only taste, something I don't have.

Lovely! Top one for me too. I prefer subtle. 

It's such an amazing sight anyway isn't it? Just the thought of it. All  those galaxies cast out across space in that beautiful curve. 

Doesn anyone know whether that arrangement is happenstance or was caused by something?
