At last... an AR to enjoy! AR 2738 on 2019-04-10

What a joy, fnally an AR to darken the solar surface! I captured these shots this afternoon with a Lunt LS50THa and PGR Chameleon3. The close up is with the addition of a 2.5x Powermate. I look forward to trying again tomorrow, hopefully with better seeing - it was pretty hazy with intermittent cloud in Wiltshire when capturing these.

Thank you Dave, Charl & Ruud.

I shot a sequence of 25 images at 30 second intervals as a test timelapse... here's the very brief result, looped several times. It's quite neat though! There's a little streak that lights up just below the active region. I will be trying a longer timelapse tomorrow.
