Just joined forum. We are silver stargazers and have bought a second hand Skywatcher Goto telescope. Struggled for two years with everything but have seen a wi fi attachment for the scope, so am thinking of buying it so can set up in the lounge where its warm and the scope can stay on the patio in the cold!! Has anyone bought one of these?

Hi there and a very warm welcome to the Lounge :)

Regarding the wifi attachment, it would be a good idea to give as much information you can regarding the adaptor, how you want to use it and more importantly, what you want to gain from the whole experience.

Welcome to the forum.

As above, would be good to understand what you want to achieve with the adaptor. As far as I'm aware it gives control of the goto, that's all. Are you wanting a solution where you view the images remotely, this would need some form of camera too.

Thank you all for your replies and encouragement. Think we will go ahead with the purchase as have now done some reading up on Harrisons telescopes about the synscan adaptor. Apparently the synscan app to go with it is free on the skywatcher website & can be installed on a tablet or phone. Think it will be better for us instead of fiddling about in the dark &cold with the hand held set!
