Always wanted to have a go at this target but only have an non-modded DSLR also. Pretty amazed by the data you have in this. Great image.

I hope you do no mind, I had a quick go at processing, I am still learning and my laptop screen is not the best so maybe really out.

Tom.

I think you've done really well there with an unmodded camera, the long integration time certainly helps it seems. It's going to be my next target so couldn't resist having a quick play in Photoshop, hope you don't mind!

Thanks carl really like your effort. Certainaly  you have brought out more detail.  Yes long intergration time helps especially with LP around here. But well worth the frozon toes and fingers :)

Tom, I love the processing of your first post.  It is delicate and you've avoided "squeezing the pips!  You've also left the dark point quite high which gives everything a slight misty look which is atmospheric and feels very natural.

Hi,

awesome pic, especially for an unmodded cam. Here is my quick go at it ( I had to crop some of the image after multiple e stretches to bring out more of the nebula).

I will also add a pic. that will let you see how much is actually there (after treating it w/ flats, image - adjust - equalize). This command I only used on the synthetic luminance I created (duplicate image, set mode to Lab, get rid of ab channels, new document, select the lightness channel, and put it into the new doc as Lum.).
