Saw this hardwood EP case video, by Doctor D, mentioned on another forum:

For those like me who get irrationally angry when youtubers show a product but don't link to it:

Don't think it is unreasonably priced at £50

This re-jig of the shadow foam is neater than it looks and would have counted as a 9/10 resounding success except i got caught using "the best" kitchen knives at the last minute and "lost a few marks" 🤣.

A holesaw may work well with this stuff.

10 years ago it was much simpler:  1 case to hold them all and in the darkness find them, Starguiders and Maxvisions. Then 1 grew, then multiplied to 2. Add a binoviewer and loose all control over trying to limit the number of eyepieces and 2 becomes 3 🤣

I did a re-jig recently as the original case i had was falling apart.

Everything is spaced out in an attempt not to add anything more, undoubtedly wishful thinking :help:

My arrangement seems very ordinary in comparison to everyone else's, but here it is.

It works for me though. Visual is catered for on the lift out layer (Eps, Barlow, illuminated reticle, variable filter) and any imaging kit is in the base (camera mount, flattener, ADC, intervalometer, air blower).

Spare batteries are in the compartments in the lid.

I very much take an 'everything I could need in the one box' approach to this, so here's my accessories case. I used shadow foam cut into a cheap case from amazon, then got  a sticker from etsy to give it some sauce. The cosy arrangement also has the benefit of reducing the urge to browse for any additions!

A swap to the world of refractors meant a need to rejig the case. I still insist on one box, so this now contains everything I need including the diagonal (couldn't fit it into telescope box! 😂). There's really something intensely satisfying about laying it all out and squeezing it all in.
