Haha thanks, yes this was a Microsoft Lifecam I converted years ago to use for planetary imaging. I will be the first to admit I'm no imager but did get an okay Jupiter from it! If you look very carefully you can see the tiny bulge at about the 4 o'clock position - a transit of Ganymede.

Re the Evoguide - I'm converting it into a tiny ultra-light travelscope. There's a thread of my progress here if you're interested (maybe some of it might be useful for your purposes too).

I'm almost ashamed to post this but, on a small island sometimes you just have to improvise! So, here's my eyepiece case, a repurposed work boot box and some spare packing foam, and it does the trick. Luckily I only need to observe from home so I don't need to travel with my gear.  The Oklop bag was my original eyepiece bag but , in my keenness and urge to spend money on shiny bits (!) I  soon outgrew that bag.

Eyepieces are a mix of ES 82 degree, Starguiders and a much used and enjoyed Nirvana 16mm in the 1.25 inch size, wide field is catered for by my new APM UFF 30mm and a WO 25mm.

I also now have to make space for an incoming Baader zoom as I couldn't resist the recent sale price!

No shame required Peter, looks very neat and tidy and does the job well I’m sure. Saves you a few pennies for another accessory too 👍😀.

Awesome set there @JeremyS 😮

If only I could get on with 100 degrees and the lower eye relief, I'd have kept mine... I'm secretly hoping the new XWs will form part of a lovely new set though 🤞

May these provide you with many years of superb observing 😁

That's my trofast drawer outfitted with shafowfoam now!

Still got masking tape on half of it till I figure out what's going on there.  Trying to 3D print some filter cases so they are all roughly the same dimensions.  The ones on thingverse are not great.

I'll look into a proper case next month, assuming people stop posting bargains in the classified section.

Hopefully the wife doesn't spot that there is a gap for 2 more eyepieces...

The latest iteration of mine. The idea is to have a one-stop, grab and go case for essential accessories (that way I can't forget stuff!). So apart from EPs and Barlows, there are Allen keys, the battery pack for my cooling fan, spare batteries, torches, etc. Even with EPs stored vertically, there's not much more room!

I had to rearrange a couple months ago.  I run two cases on for 2 inch eyeypieces and one for 1.25" eyepieces.  I have a third case that holds nothing but filters.

You seem to have a lot of Barlows, Mike!

Only 4 LOL.  I have 2 2x and a 3x in the 1.25s and just the 1 2x in 2 inch.  I need to compare the ES focal extender to the telecentric barlow from Orion and see which is better.

I must say, my ES focal extender works well, though obviously I've never tried the Orion.

Both are made by JOC i believe so i am expecting similar results.  Deciding which one i will keep will be tough.  I do know that the telecentric from Orion is a very good barlow.  Compared to some of the others i have seen i think JOC got that one right

Yes. The Orion is the old body style design that JOC used to provide to Meade (now owned by Orion) and the ES is the new body style. I've got a Meade branded one and there are some reflections from the plastic inner wall between the two groups of lenses. Flocking this section will improve the contrast.
