Venus - huge!

If you get a chance, have a look at Venus before breakfast ,  just been looking at it -  a glorious thin crescent.  Also had a look in 10x50s just now 7.40, and it's a lovely sight, a clear crisp sliver.

I see it every morning, I really need to observe it with my telescope soon.

Only thing is please be careful once the sun clears your horizon folks.  I can't ever overstress that.

Its great from the bedroom window with a ST80.    Luckilythe glass in that window is really really good.

Been watching it for days. Seems when visibility is good, something has prevented me from looking with the telescope till yesterday. Had about an hour before the clouds moved back in from the North.

The bright star I saw this morning at 6:30 across the south east skies looked exactly like this in your photo when I viewed it through my F70076 refractor telescope... I think iv seen Venus too.
