Wider IC1396 the ole Elephant trunk

First go with the Equinox 66 and guiding with the 8 Inch Celestron, looks like i got the settings ok ,pleased with how much more of this nebula i got in. subs on this were 23, most of 7 mins with a few 10 and 15 min subs to Test the guiding, tried a view of M31 , and it fits in a treat , so thats my next one to do .

Hi Mark ,yes pleased with it , but had hoped for it to be a little wider , but i will settle for that , maybe try for old SLR lens later ,for Ultra Ultra wide field ehehhe

That's a widefield Corker Rog. You need a wide angle lens to get the whole of this one I reckon.

Nice one Rog...

The "66" with WO FF III an DSLR gets the whole "circle" in with room to spare at least 4.2 x 2.7 degree FOV ... and you can always convert it to Grayscale if the colours too much for you
