M42 through Sir Patrick Moore's Newt...

Hi all,

Here's an image I took on the 1st of March. It's of M42 taken through Sir Patrick's 15" f/6 Newtonian reflector. 3x30s + 1x10s +1x3s combined. A short exposure but the large aperture of the scope makes up for it by delivering loads of light!

That is one beautiful image!!

It begs the question, do you (and you James and Rog) keep like a scrapbook of the images you take? It's nice to see them on a screen but having them printed out in a book must be so satisfying....

Sadly no Rog he can't get outside much at all thesedays.

Can't speak for the others Grant but for myself the answer is no. I sometimes get them printed out but mostly, the ones I like end up here...

incredible images Pete quite fantastic stuff its made me feel great inside the whole seies of pictures are put together and go together just so well
