Huge Saturn with 5 x Barlow from last night (2018-06-30, South Germany)

It might be imagination only, but since Saturn came a bit closer (it's still 1,3 + Billion kilometers) I finally managed to get a decent shot with my 5x Tele Vue Barlow. Before, like 6 or 8 weeks ago, I never managed to reach the focus with this 5x lense.

Last night's results could be sharper and more detailed, but I like how huge Saturn appears when the magnification is that high.

Below is my best result from last night (original size) and an upscaled version of it. Funny: All stacks shot with my 3 x Premium Barlow are unusable..

That's 20,000 frames stacked?  Wow.  Imagine doing the alignment with film in a dark room manually in the old days before digital imaging and computers.

Thanks! I am grateful that someone invented software for stacking those frames, otherwise we would see blurry planets then
