Not familiar with the “quick fit” you refer to, but you are best to run the few strip from a dew controller. Most dew controllers have female phono plugs, which the male plug that you have, will fit into.

Hi,

As far as I am aware any two pole connector will do as the dew straps are not polarity dependant so phono plug or what ever you have even banana plugs just make sure you do not short out the connections

your photo shows an RCA Male jack (audio) and an 2.1 female DC just change one or other as they have the green connectors to screw your wires to. so either RCA or DC sockets it is up to you. just get the right one for you.

I think you will struggle to find an adaptor for the combination you are after. I would cut the phone connector off and fit the quick connect 2.1mm  power socket that suits your supply. You may find if you cut the plug off it is a coaxial cable and not just two wires. So you may have one wire in the middle surrounded by a copper screen. If so then the outer screen is the other wire and you will need to pull the middle wire through the outer screen so you can gather the screen together, insulate with something (ideally some heat shrink), so you can connect the screen to one terminal and the inner wire to the other on the quick connector. If that makes any sense.

Having said all that wait 5 minutes and somebody will disprove me by posting a link to a purpose made adaptor :embarrassed:

If you really don't want to butcher the cable I could make you an adaptor for a few quid but would take a week or so to get the bits and post it to you.

I'm not sure I completely understand your setup, but this https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F122972976375 is a "Female RCA Adapter Connector" of the type you have pictured (so you can plug the dewstrip in and attach it to a 2-core cable) and this https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F152915979606 is a "12v Dc Male adapter" that would fit on the other end for what I think you have is a 5.5mm x 2.1mm female DC socket...

I. E make your own ?

I have one of these to power the mount and dew strips.  https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-DC-5A-CCTV-Cameras-POWER-PSU-ADAPTER-2-1mm-4-WAY-SPLITTER-UK-3pin-Power-Cord-/400569415133?hash=item5d43cc35dd

As you can see I need a plug like this, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-5mm-x-2-1mm-12V-DC-Power-DC-Female-Plug-Jack-Adapter-Connector-for-CCTV-Camera/152915998509?hash=item239a80f72d:m:m85xentr6rYg2eVhG0KVv1g

Where as the connector on the dew strap is like the Picture.

I need to have an adapter that the plug in the picture can plug into and the other end to be the same type as the one I have listed from Ebay.

That would fit the connector in the picture but on the other end I would need One of these. Now looking at that could I not get one of each of those connectors and put some cable between them thus making a adapter myself.
