Perhaps mistook the Eq wedge adjustment? Looks a bit shallow,  set for somewhere north of the Arctic Circle ?

Shane, yes an easy fix thankfully.

For sake of full disclosure, it was alright until I messed around with it!

In terms of fear of dismantling the scope, there is none. This was an insurance right off which I bought and fixed. Nothing majorly wrong, just a loose secondary holder which took some fixing but all ok. Getting the snail trails off the front corrector was much harder!

I'm taking it apart to flock as much of it as I can, to try to eliminate the horrid arcing reflection I get, not sure where from.
