The Solar Photosphere - 6th August 2017

I was beginning to wander when I might get a look in next! Weather has been pretty dire here all week. There were a few gaps yesterday but nothing big enough to do anything with. This morning started out with glorious blue skies but by the time I had setup there was some high but fairly substantial cirrus clouds to contend with as well as a bunch of contrails.

Nice white light sun shots....

Lately there sun is quite devoid of sun spots.

Very nice disks. It looks like there is just the one AR on the entire disk, with the far side of the disk being devoid of any activity at the moment, given that this AR is apparently the return of AR2665. Fingers crossed some more develop before this one exits on the western limb
