Sun limbs in Ha 5-5-2017

Three days of continuous sunshine is pretty normal for this neck of the woods (tongue in cheek) so I managed some imaging yesterday around 10am.  I picked on the W and E limb with the associated ARs and proms.  Cloud today so processing time is plentiful.  Usual kit: Lunt 60 and an ASI174MM, 2.5x PM.  I need to sort out a tilt adjuster or take some decent flats next time.

Hi Pete, I bought a FLO tilt adjuster for mine you also need a T thread to M48 adapter to connect it to the BF. Hm not sure about that now, I ended up needing an adapter for some reason but FLO list one that just says T thread so may fit without adapter.

Thanks Dave. It should fit between the nosepiece and cam without an adapter.

Nice images.

I don't get any Newton rings with my ASI174 on my Lunt or Quark, whereas I do with an ASI120.  I prefer the ASI120 for my Lunt, the smaller pixels give a better image scale and the chip size better suits the sweet spot when double stacked.

 Great pics! I need to do flats too. I tried to make one using software and it worked pretty good.  Have you tried that?

If using 1920 x 1200 res I did get NR's but tighter ROI ie 800 x 600 none show up, I guess it's because they fit in between the large gaps between rings.

I use an Eliminator by Daystar.
