Canon 700D and 50mm f/1.8

Recommended Posts

Managed to get to a good dark sky location last night, with a Baader modded 700D and nifty fifty.  All shots are single exposures of 4 min at f/2.8 ISO400. Little processing apart from curves and levels (no dark extraction or noise reduction)  Camera mounted on a Sightron nano-tracker.

Looking at these shots on multiple computers I'm beginning to realise just how different they look on different monitors!

Image 1: Double cluster with Heart and Soul nebula.

Image 2: Double cluster again with Pacman neb and M31 lurking in the corner.

Image 3: Pleiades with a smidgeon of California Nebula at the top and some of the Taurus dark nebula complex starting to block out background stars in the bottom left (I think)
