Sun dog

I caught this before I went on holiday - not too bad for phone capture. 

It started and finished in the time it took to walk the dog so a lucky catch ?

seems to have been spotted from a few places. We saw it down at Hereford yesterday. Managed to see it on both sidesof the sun which is a first for me

Yesterday must have been Sundog evening. I was walking the labs and there were two (one each side of the sun) but I couldn't get an angle to photograph both, especially with two dogs not co-operating!

That's a very nice capture Tony, looks like a big one! Phone cameras are pretty amazing these days aren't they?

Some nice images there, they are always nice to see, even if captured on a phone.

If your dog is anything like ours then the time to walk the dog is half the evening, so plenty of time for imaging.

He's almost 12, not bad for a lab, so has slowed down a lot? compared to his younger days ?

Evening walk is about 30/40 mins (slowly) ?
