After spending three hours last night staring at clouds where I had been promised clear skies by the weather forecasters it is nice to dream about how things could be

Yep, when i bought this house last year i really thought i had the perfect location, i just did not take into account the Queensbury micro climate

That place in New Zealand sounds perfect for me. Plus I'd get to see a whole different swath of sky.

Yeah, there are always plenty of clouds in the long shots in the Lord of the Rings movies. Unless the property is on top of a mountain?

There are local micro-climates but the the place isn't called 'The Land of the Great White Cloud' for nothing...

Some of the darkest skies in the UK have a terrible climate. Don't ask me how I know this...
