The Solar Photosphere - 29th May 2016

Sky finally cleared around 4pm today, or rather the clouds began to break around 4. By the time I could catch a gap, realise the seeing was atrocious, grab the laptop to try and improve focus, shoot another set of images, bin them because of seeing / cloud, shoot another set of images; the Sun was close to the roof tops and there was no time for Ca-K

Forecast for tomorrow is solid cloud but then I was supposed to have clear skies from 10am today so who knows

Good catch David worth persevering, Sun appeared too late again today, forecast for tomorrow is early cloud followed by more clouds and later on it will be cloudy

Nice to see you managed something David. Seeing was terrible here even though the sky was clear all day. Warmest day of he year so far, so I guess thermals were ruining the view.
