Bright and Early Sunday Morning

I was up by 6:30 and out imaging not long after that. I had hoped this would provide me with some good seeing but alas that turned out not to be the case. White Lights to kick off with and hopefully more to come later.

Nice captures David. A lot of high cloud around here at the moment, and getting thicker!

The weather for tomorrow's transit isn't looking too promising either.

Very similar here Ian as you can imagine as I guess you not far from me. Looks like I may get to see 1st and 2nd contact if I am lucky but that will be about it.

Nice one! Hmmm... Weather forecast program is actually getting *better* for tomorrow.
Still pondering quite what to do. Think I will go for "White Light" with a (focal-reduced)
MAK150 and homebrew 5" filter. Revert to the Watec VIDEO camera for time lapse?

At least I get to sit indoors and/or rush out to close the obsy roof if/when it rains...

Nice capture David, I was up early but it takes me hours to get my wife up, fed and watered so only just set up, got some blueish bits between the clouds.

Well done David, lovely pics and an early start even I can't beat today!  .  I hope you get some views tomorrow, I guess it's rather too far for you to come up to The Astronomy Centre (nr Todmorden, Lancashire) where it's forecast clear skies for the whole of the event.
