Jupiter 17/03 from Bembridge

Odd night this - the seeing and trans looked very good visually though the results were very grainy with poor resolution.   This was the best of a bad bunch from the captures, but just managed to catch the Callisto and it's shadow transit.

Thanks all - nice comment's, though the end result is more a testament to the adaptive noise reduction in Image Analyser.  Quite a heavy handed process to pull anything out of the bag here.

Interesting to hear that conditions were similar across much of UK - though Stu's shot of the transit definitely knocks this in to a cooked hat. Weathers looking pretty murky for much of next week, but hopefully a few gaps to reward the Stoic PI's ;)

Very nice capture, despite your conditions Jake. Callisto nicely nailed with its shadow approaching Jupiter's limb. Fascinating to watch this - as with all transits!
