Hi everyone,

 

Just wondering does anyone know any other sites/software apart from 12dstring?

I love 12dstring but I find that alot of objects I want to image aren't on it.

I'm really impressed with free Atik App for IOS. It only refers to Atik cameras but it works very well. If you want infinite possibilities then Sky Safari Pro does everything you need for FOV simulations, visual and imaging.

You can input alot of ngc and it catalogue numbers in this one and it shows your field of view with most desired scope/ camera combinations

I've always liked CCDCalc. It's worthwhile to download the additional reference images that are linked to on that page, so you end up with a comprehensive collection of targets in the application.

Strangely enough I stumbled upon this not long after I created this thread. 

I'm a fan and have been using it since,  great tool.

I have just been trying it out today.

It's  the best FOV calculator I have ever used. Well done to the author of this program.
