Just wanted everyone to know. First time since before Christmas I've had a)clear skies and b)access to my telescopes. I just wish I'd looked at M31 with the ST102 BEFORE I tried the Moon with the evo 120.

Poor planning re the Moon / M13 thingy. But I don't think that you can be blamed for getting a bit over excited after a long layoff.

I had my first look of the season at M13 at about 05:30 this morning. No moon. 10" mirror. Incredible!! (Need a bigger scope now).

Yep, i have had the TAL out for a bit of moon gazing even took a few pics

I was ready but moisture in the air ruined everything Polaris is visible but no others then going out and looking under a street light you can actually see how much damp is about I might try early in the morning to see the planets but anything else forget it,typical

If it's any consolation you at least got some viewing time. Still totally clouded out here.

Actually I think that's a reason I had trouble with M31. The sky was clear but the air was very damp.

Yes, there was a lot of moisture out there last night, I did mull over going out for the second time in a week (!!) but the skies got murkier as the evening wore on...

I was getting all excited during the pm as we had lovely clear skies and was looking forward to spending time on some lunar observing, as the early evening arrived so did the clouds/mist/fog so spent another night moaning.

Was out last night trying to use my ZWO camera on the Moon, processing the results now. 1st time I have been able to use it.
