SkyVision 24-inch T600 compact

I got home to find my copy of Sky at Night waiting on the door mat. I thumbed through it and I noticed something that gave me a sharp intake of breath. In the equipment reviews they have the SkyVision 24-inch T600 compact listed. The price is £1,999.99! This must be a typo surely?

That seems highly unlikely. I would expect that to be the price for smaller versions

Someone on Facebook just mentioned this, the decimal point is in the wrong place, and no, it shouldn't be £199.99, go the other way

That is a bit of a mess up on the part of S@N mag, will be a fair few people visiting the Skyvision website.  

NB  It is not quite a decimal place in the wrong place, should be £11,999.99 according to the chap on Facebook, so they just missed a one out

Their proof readers haven't done a very good job, they've stated the field stop of the Delite 11mm as 1.1mm instead of 11.7mm.

Having done quite a bit of proof reading myself, I know how difficult it can be to let a few "obvious" things through.

I saw Richards status update and wanted one, now I have read this I am having second thoughts. A 24 inch mirror from Nichols is in the region of 5,000 so the the rest of the scope is fairly expensive though I saw the 12 inch on the net and it looks well made.

I'm actually quite relieved. Six months ago I spent £1200 on a secondhand home-made 18.5" and I felt really sick last night when I saw that in the magazine....
