Third space object found on Spanish soil in just a week

Thought I would post this as a matter of interest as it's not too often you see space debris making landfall and even less so that it occurs 3 times in less than a week although I suspect this may of been all from one event and the pieces have been found seperately.

The UK tabloids of course have massively overreacted with their woo headlines but the Spanish paper El Pais has taken a far more measured approach.

For the third time in one week, an object has fallen out of the sky onto eastern Spain.

This time, the space debris showed up on a farming field near the town of Elda, in Alicante province, government sources said.

The object is a narrow strip of metal four meters long and 20 centimeters wide, which looks burnt and appears to have sharp, cutting edges.

Earlier this week, two spheres that had crashed into the Murcia countryside were found, located just a few kilometers from one another.

Explosives experts from the National Police were sent out to analyze the new object and bring it in for further testing after ruling out any risk of radioactivity.

As in the other two cases, investigators are working with the theory that this piece of metal was once part of a satellite, rocket or other type of space object.

Airport technicians have ruled out the possibility that this new fragment might have been part of a plane’s fuselage, based on the type of welding.

The spheres do look like other parts found previously around the world and are probably a fuel tank of some description but the long strap is something different.

Elda where the strap was found is not too far from me and the spheres were found in Murcia about a 110 or so kms away by car so it's possible this was one event which may of even been witnessed and dismissed as a Taurid fireball.

I should pay more attention to my calsky alerts for space debris re-entering.

Anyway, I just thought it was interesting and wonder what others thoughts are?

Well, at least they are moving in the opposite direction from my place (assuming the order the objects were found corresponds to the order they hit the Earth). But if I lived near Benidorm I might be getting worried.
