I was rather taken with it too.  I only found it because I was looking for a featureless bit of the sun to do my out-of-focus flats!!

I tried out one of these inverted image thingies on the prom photo.  The "sky" looks a bit yellow but I'm not sure how to take that out without stripping away the detail.

Lovely detail in there, I think the sky should be yellow.
