Well the third really as the first few were pretty awfull

ED80 Pro and a Cannon Eos D60 1000ASA 30 Seconds exposure.

I've taken some others - with mixed results!!

I'll post a few when Steve has given me a lesson in Photoshop!

Thanks James,

It's the focusing i'm struggling with - my eysight is pretty poor so i'm best guessing. The bright stuff i'm ok with but i've taken a few of the Double cluster and I can't get them in focus.

I'll try focusing on a nearby bright star tomorrow night weather permitting.

It is Hard Greg infact very hard just remember to take test images and zoom into the photo using ya cameras LCD Screen and adjust focus accordingly takes a while to get used to it...

If you pick a bright star to focus on choose one near were you wanna take an image that way the focus won't move accidently when slewing the scope.

great start Greg ,and a lovely one as well , looks good to me mate tracking ok and m42 has a lot of detail , so i woud say a very vrey good start .
