New toy for all you Lunt Ha types ...

An expensive piece of kit for lazy people.

A bi of a sweeping statement, though I do agree about the price!

The advantage of this is that the scope won't wobble when tuning, and it can also be difficult to see the effects of tuning when imaging (bright sunshine, screen might be far from the scope and so on). Plus this unit will monitor and keep the pressure constant in the chamber, whereas the manual tuner will have a small amount of leakage and pressure changes as the scope warms.

When imaging at the edge of what is capable, then everything has to be just so. For the type of people doing that, then this kit will be a welcome addition to the arsenal of kit.

Sounds like a very useful piece of kit, but at the price a bit too much. Especially if you can only get it direct from the manufactures and have to add VAT and perhaps import duty.

Teleskop Express had the Version 1 for sale a while back. From memory it was about £600 though....very pricey piece of kit.

<edit> found it!
