Waxing Crescent Over Derbyshire

I was out walking the dog this evening and snapped this with my Canon 650D and 75-300mm lens (at about 200mm)...

I also managed to capture a flock of birds (geese?) flying low in the distance through the glow of the setting Sun...

I had a quick look at about 8.45pm and caught the Moon and Venus too despite it still being very light.

I could see Venus for a few minutes and was hoping for a picture of both together but by the time I reached the top of the hill (and therefore eliminated the Tesco distribution centre from the scene) Venus had disappeared into the low haze on the horizon
