  1. Thanks. The 120 will be on an eq3 2 mount but I have here a still unused eq5. So in terms of picture clarity, what would be the main difference between the 120 and 200? And yes, I will use a filter for viewing the sun ? Thanks again
  2. Ok. Hello. Just starting astronomy again. Would like to view/photograph moon/planets and maybe sun? What would be best scope for this? My 200p dobsonian or a skywatcher 120 refractor? I also have a goto EQ5. Thanks

So I'm having dinner with a prawn. And I says: Can I have some of your chips, and he said no.

So I said: Oh, come on. Don't be shellfish...

      LOL

But Captain Oates didn't go back in, to sample what is available at my local Off Licence...

  9. Ha! You say that but, everyone knows its Swansea...
  10. Hello my friends from the TRUE capitol of Wales. Just bought a Skyliner 8" Dobsonian. Man its big Whats happining in South Wales?
  11. Another ooops! Meant to say: Could not agree More with everyting you said... Sorry...
  12. Qualia: Could not agree more with everything you said. Learning about the Cosmos was my first interest as a child. Patrick Moore, Carl Sagan et al... My post was of course meant as a joke following on from (unlike mine!) very funny earlier posts about Hubble. The Skyliner 200, so I have been told, is a very good piece of kit and cannot wait to use it :-))
  13. Not sure what to make of this post. It is obviously well informed and obviously a result of experience. However, if I knew these things BEFORE I bought my first telescope (arrived today), I would have bought the Hubble Telescope and not the Skyliner 200 Dobsonian I am lumbered with!
