This was the year of perfecting my mosaic-making skills. I had a lot of fun tweaking the processing sequence, and getting things (except acquisition) automated. The best of the bunch are the sun from October 25:

Regular pseudo-colour

file.php?id=8563&mode=view

Inverted pseudo-colour

file.php?id=8565&mode=view

And the first I did with L-R deconvolution on October 4:

file.php?id=8147&mode=view

Inverted pseudo-colour

file.php?id=8150&mode=view

And finally the animation of the monster AR:

All done with the little LS35THa, DMK21AU618 camera, and TV Powermate 2.5x. All capture in FireCapture, mosaics stitched in AutoStitch64

Hmmmm...

My best prom of the year, not come close to that since.

Tough to pic one of the close ups of AR2192 as there was many, had a ball though imaging this spot.

Tough to pick a white light full disc too, hundreds to choose from.

A late entry to the mosaic club, hope to get more time doing these this year.

Not often you catch an X2.0 flare!

For the whole year I either had the Mak 180 on hand but no seeing or vice versa – so, no hi-res white light images this time.

Everything below shot with PGR Chameleon mono, animations aligned with imgalt.

90 mm refractor + Omega Optical 1.5 Å Hα filter:

2:08 h, 45-s intervals

In summer I finally got some Hα surface detail-capable equipment, namely Lunt 35. 4-pane mosaic:

A flaming surge (3 h, 1.5-minute intervals):

And preliminary results from the 90 mm mod (flare loops in The Monster, 0:42 h, 45-s intervals):

Bit late to the party with these, I meant to reprocess a few but that doesn't seem to be happening! Can't keep up with 2015's captures! Images are Equinox 120, Daystar Quark Chromosphere, Grasshopper 3 (ICX687) camera and Revelation 1.25 inch 0.5x reducer. The last one was on Christmas Day, not the best seeing but what a lovely present for a solar nutcase
