Well the pricing is pretty good for the other products so my guess is the price was upped as he is out of stock so they don't have to remove the listing and pay to add it again.

Dobsonian? There is not an atom of a Dobsonian in that thing. It isn't hand made of simple materials using teflon bearings. I hope we are not going to start calling all alt-azimuth mounts 'Dobsonian.'
