Jupiter & Mars 19-04-2014

Two shots of Jupiter and Mars from last night. The seeing was not the best but better than recent nights so I thought it was worth posting. In use: CPC800 & QHY5l-II. AVIs post-processed using PIPP, AS!2, Nikon CNX2. 

I'm still getting to grips with processing Mars...

That's a very nice image of Jupiter.  Mars is rather trickier

both looking pretty good to me. Jupiter looks a little noisy maybe, how many frames have you stacked?

Thanks for the comments! I've joined 3 x 200 frames together using PIPP and then AS!2. I think it is a 50% (300 frames) stack. During processing with Nikon CNX2 I introduced the noice - but I wouldn't have been able to get all the detail you see otherwise. De-noicing (urgh! that's not english, is it?) just faded the detail away . I'm still learning...

Jupiter looks great even if slightly noisey. I have problems with Mars as well but it's got some details of the surface. Well done.
