First Jupiter - Mak 127 and Cinema HD

Guys,

Can I have your thoughts on this?  This is the first time I've tried to image Jupiter with my new scope.  Using a modded webcam, no barlow on this occasion and stacked in Registax.

Is this any good?

Yeah, I was having issues with the tracking so it was a bit easier.  I was really wanting to see what detail I could bring out and play in Registax.  I'll have another go if the cloud ever leaves me...

Good start. I think you could tease out quite a bit more detail using wavelets in Registax (just load the single frame, and tweak the sliders until you are content with the result)

Can I just ask, where in Glasgow are you and do you use a dark sky park?  I'm in Hamilton but the light pollution kills me.  Wouldn't mind having a go in an area nearby that removes it.

Thats sooo much better than my first try using a mak 127 and a neximage5! Did you use a RA drive?

Yeah Clive, im using a nexstar 127 with tracking. Got an IR blocker on the way so hopefully will clear up the images even more.
