Scope out & cooling........

Sunny all day - of course total cloud now!

Put my scope out to cool and was beautifully clear. Went put 15 mins later and blanket cloud of the Severn estuary type also! :-(

Got out asap after sunset and managed to grab a few AVIs of Jupiter before Moon got too high and thin cloud started to roll in.

Back in the warm to process!

Brought the 'scope in for the night. The seeing's deteriorated a bit and Jupiter is moving into the heat column from next door. There's also some high cloud coming over.

Ah well, still had a good session.

Floor to ceiling and wall to wall here  and the forecast is not looking promising for the remainder of the week.

Nice and clear here, just come back in afteronly half an hour session.

I have found out that the the 127mak works better out the front of the flat than the C8. I used the C8 last night and its just too powerful to use here because of the the thermals from the other flats..

Finally  clouded out at 10:00 pm. Still got a couple of hours worth in anyway. Full moon was a nuisance anyway.

Set up at 8:30pm, lovely & clear. Good 45 mins viewing M42 & a few double stars, then turn my attention to Jupiter for the double transit & everything looking good . Then in the space of ten minutes, total cloud cover .

Back home in the warm now, but a bit hacked-off.

Sorry, still clear here & the double transit is spectacular     Moon's too bright for anything else though.
