Happy new year guys just got home after doing the disco for the porters in blackwood knackard but the sky's clear here with a few clouds but mostly clear with guess what... 3/4 of a full moon:( lol

Ah the Porters, used to be my local hang out when I was in school, oops sorry I meant when I was 18 yrs old Used to occasionally go there up until recently on christmas eve to catch up with old school mates. Gradually began seeing less and less over the years as people began moving on until I didn't recognise anyone anymore.....and everyone else started looking rather young.......time is a funny thing.......Happy New Year everyone!

My wife and I used to go there quite regularly just before we got married and for some years after - it was a lovely restaurant / pub then from what I remember - but that was 27 yrs + ago - Blackwood together with Bargoed and Ystrad Mynach now seem like the takeaway capitals (joint gold medalists) of S Wales - but few really nice places to have a meal in.

Happy new year to all! Also stayed up until 0300 on NYE - bright moon but got some clear skies (at last!). Managed to see Orion Nebula for first time, and M35 was a stunner!
