Good job:) some nice detail starting to appear in the dust lanes there, M31 is a tricky one, I imaged it the other week and I can't tell at what point the core becomes over exposed?

hey barry heres mine just 32min of data 9x220 ISO 800 secs 25 darks, you need to get round here and listen to what i say about auto darks being OFF!!!!!!!!!! LOL forecast is clear for after 12 tonight so hopefully we will get some more data tonight if the forecast stays the same

Great job! Nicely framed, good focus and not too much trailing considering it's unguided.

I would avoid using auto darks - you need to stack your dark frames together to remove the (random) noise in them first!

I would echo what has been said about auto-darks. Do the darks seperatley and allow your stacking program to sort the calibration out.

looks good that Barry what a difference it made changing the settings to apply, and choosing the correct bayer pattern. im just trying to find the correct bayer pattern for mine now not having much luck!

Nice M31 great detail in the dust lanes too, one question though it seems to be a bit noisy yet you have taken lots of dark which seems a bit strange when I did mine I took about 80 subs with a modded canon 350d and stacked them with 60 darks flats and bias shots which gave me a fairly noise free image is that the result of those other darks?
