Bender
Just witnessed another silly auction today on eBay. Was hoping to pick up a TV 2x Barlow .It went in the end for 107 £, not bad considering they cost everywhere 100£ new.

brucen
I was told by someone a while ago that many people on ebay 'trade' and do not disclose their Paypal accounts to the Revenue. They are, therefore, quite happy to pay a bit over the odds for things as the money is not taxed. I know the Revenue has recently announced a clamp down on ebay traders so there may be some truth to this. There are also those who assume that everything on ebay is cheaper so don't bother to check! johninderby
Yes, never buy anything on eBay without checking elsewhere first. Was looking for a DVD boxset and the high street price was £25.00 less than the best eBay price. However picked up a Baader filter on eBay yesterday for nearly half price. John
