Albiero...I think

Took me ages to find Albiero tonight. First time looking for it and I was only using my WO ZS66 so had no finder (Red dot or otherwise). Anyway can somebody confirm this is in fact what I think it is? Could not see too much colour when looking through the scope but the camera picked it up well.

This is a megapixel IP network camera, this image was a 30second video capture. It has a built in something or other that takes 4 images and combines them internally, this is what I used for the capture.

Stacked in Registax with no messing about with wavelets or any of that nonsense!

Once you have found it once, you will never miss it again. Nice one. I have found a few smaller examples dotted around the sky all double (binary style) blue & yellow star pairings also!!... very nice

Yes, very nice, but I have to agree with Gaz. You have the lovely blue of the companion, but the nice golden primary has lost it's glister.

No mistaking it though.

It looks similar to Epsilon Bootes (Izar) that lunator posted the other day. Rather closer double than Albireo, but the colours were there.

Please don't think this a criticism, double stars are not all that easy to image as the are to view.IMHO.

Ron.

Now i need to find a red dot finder for my ZS66!

http://tinyurl.com/36zzz7 , if you'll decide to go a fancy way, or just simply http://tinyurl.com/36ps8w :( Nice capture, btw. Beautifully blue secondary.

I must addmitt I do not have personal experience neither with wo zs66 nor with any of RDF. I was the same opinion as u are. I just found the Pulsar "recommends" this one ( http://tinyurl.com/2gylka look at "recommended accessories) . However that's all I know :(

I don't think the SW one will fit, but you might want to look at the Baader Skysurfer 3, Ant has one fitted to his Revalation 80 and it works a treat apparently.

I do have one on the revalation,

I was very eager not to attach using sticky pads or any other method that would mark the lovely tube :(

I turned the focuser around and attached the RDF to the underside (which was then on top).

Doesn't look that pretty to be honest, but it does work and can be fully removed at anytime...

Blinky

good catch.

If you can use photoshop or something similar to boost the colour saturation this may bring out the primary colour a bit more.

The stars are nice and round so the quality of the image is great.

Cheers
