William Optics at First Light Optics

Recommended Posts

By popular request, FLO has added William Optics telescopes and accessories to her range :D

I shall be listing them on the website over the coming week and announcing each of them here with a brief intro.

First up is the William Optics Zenithstar 66 SD APO

Cute, aren't they!

The ZS 66 is one of the jewels in the WO crown and appeals to those wanting an ultra-compact travel scope or a convenient set-up for wide-field astrophotography or piggybacking.

Features:

* Air-spaced fully multi-coated doublet lens uses Japanese Ohara SD glass for sharp, contrasty images virtually free of false-colour.

* Fast focal ratio and compact size is ideal for convenient wide field astrophotography or piggybacking.

* CNC machined aluminium for a superior fit and finish.

* Rotatable 2-speed 1:10 Crayford focuser.

* Includes aluminium case.

Available in Red or Blue anodised or new White powder-paint finish. (Blue and White in stock, Red on backorder)

Regret SGL discount does not apply to WO products. However, FLO's prices are competitive and if you do see a better price/deal, we will do our utmost to match it.

Thanks for looking :lol:

I. Am. Going. To. Wait. For. The. 80mm. Equinox...... A. 66. Is. Too. Small.

The real test is when Steve puts up the ZS80. I'm going to be in serious trouble then.

Restrained? Moi?

Tony..

Oh tricky... WO SZS 66 for £259 with 1.25" diagonal, or a SW Equinox 66 without diagonal for £261 :D No contest...

I`ll order one tomorrow when my wife isnt around, watching my credit card :lol:

I was looking at getting a red dot finder for my 66 but

it seemed a tad expensive to say the least.

Are they still over £70 Steve?

'fraid so :lol:

I'll need to invest in some brown paper wrapping :D

Steve, are you able to supply the 0.8 field flattener for the WO?

Probably - I'll check availability in the morning.
