Greetings everyone! A newbie from Dorset here!

Been a binocular observer for a few years but its time to take the plunge and get my first scope.

Hopefully, after looking at the various reviews and tips on this site will help me find one to cater to my needs.

Looking forward to chatting with you guys and taking in your expert advice :D

Hi and welcome to the forum. You might want to consider downloading a free program called Stellarium which you can see here. It will help you learn the sky and identify what you are looking at. Easy to use, lots of fun with some good 'toys' built in like the advance date/time facility and will keep you on track when the clouds come in!
