Hello from Sheffield/Cornwall

Well i stumbled upon this forum and it seems an invaluable source of knowledge.

I used to be into space, telescopes and everything else in between back before my teens.

Then like most thing when you grow older, things fade away and you loose interest.

Well in the past few years I've become more and more interested in photography, pretty much everything about it. To the point where i took the hit and bought my self a decent compact system camera and i'm shooting some half decent pictures.

Couple of weeks ago i found my old telescope in the loft, a Tasco 40-114675, this sparked new ideas of shots of the moon and planets, maybe even stars clusters.

So I've been trawling the web ever since, finding as much info as possible. Learning as much as i can to help me on my way.

It seemed right to find a good forum to settle into as they seem the best place for information and opinions.

I'm currently in Sheffield but will be moving back down to Cornwall at the end of the month.

Mainly to get away from the city, traffic and the orange light pollution.

So my camera set up is a Olympus E-PL2 its a micro four thirds system, i only have the kit lens it came with 14mm-42mm, its ok but i think the lens is a bit limited sometimes.

I have looking into adaptors for direct-prime focus photography and projection photography, i've found one on eBay that does them both and also extends and allows you to put eyepieces in it to increase magnification. (not sure if i'm allowed to link fleBay, so i wont)

So that's me. I've browsed the forum, and photo section. Some of the results are incredible!

Look forward to being an active member.
