Astroman
The Crescent Nebula! Just 2º south of Gamma Cygni. It's embarrasing, but for years I'd tell people this was a supernova remnant. Came to find out it's a Wolf-Rayet star ejecting its outer atmosphere and illuminating it in UV radiation. I remember a friend and I looking for this with his 12" Dob. We could see the triangular star pattern with the 3 stars trailing but missed the nebula entirely. This was from Grand Canyon with no moon, so we should have seen it. Tried again with an OIII filter, UHC, and colored glass to no avail. May have to try again, now that it's more familiar. Same with the Horsehead.Anyway, very nice image!
